Redmond leaders to reintroduce residents to downtown

Redmond’s urban renewal agency approved funding for up to three-years, a $270,000 plan to reintroduce its residents to downtown businesses now that the Highway 97 bypass has rerouted traffic and reopened downtown Redmond to the possibility of new economic prosperity.

Some of the funds will be used to create an advertising and marketing campaign aimed at showing locals what businesses are downtown, and what attractions Redmond has to offer. There was very little objection to the redevelopment effort.
