The Oregon Public Utility Commission is hosting two public hearings to provide information to the public and to let customers voice their opinion about PGE’s request to raise utility rates later this year.

The meetings are informal – attendees are allowed to come and go as they please, take information, ask questions, and make comments for the record. PUC staff members, PGE officials, and consumer groups will be on hand to answer any questions from citizens during this time, and the PUC will record all customer comments, according to a PUC press release.

The hearings are scheduled for today, July 8 from 6pm to 8pm at the Oregon Department of Transportation Region 1 Building in conference rooms A and B located at 123 NW Flanders in Portland. The second hearing will take place Wednesday, July 9 from 6pm to 8pm at the Salem Public Library in Anderson Room A and B located at 585 Liberty Street in Salem.
