Friday, April 29 is the 2nd annual Breaking Barriers Conference. The conference is guided by a vision for an inclusive community where barriers don’t exist and labels such as disability have no meaning. This conference will serve as a platform to share the unique and diverse perspectives of all members of our community. Together they will learn to create a truly inclusive society, where all people will enjoy a fulfilling and self-directed life beyond labels.

The conference is open to the public and is intended to provide a platform for people with disabilities, families, teachers and service providers. This year’s keynote presenter is Matt Roloff, who is best known for starring in the hit TLC reality show Little People, Big World.

Break out groups and panelists will explore themes like positive behavior support in the family home, future career expectations and exploration, keeping behaviorally challenging students in the classroom, and assistive technology, and more.
This conference is made possible by local and state partners like Autism Society of Oregon, Central Oregon Disability Support Network (CODSN), Deschutes County and many others.
