Dr. Timothy Bollom and Eric Walberg, PT will discuss preventing injury in summer sports

The Center Orthopedic & Neurosurgical Care is pleased to partner with Rebound Physical Therapy to offer a free lecture to the Central Oregon community. The event will take place on Wednesday, June 13 from 12:30-1:30pm at the Sunriver Homeowners Aquatic & Recreation Center.

The lecture will be hosted by orthopedic surgeon Dr. Timothy Bollom from The Center, and physical therapist Eric Walberg from Rebound Physical Therapy. Dr. Bollom and Eric will discuss common knee and shoulder injuries seen in golf and tennis players, as well as injury prevention and rehabilitation tips. A light lunch will be provided, and there will be a question and answer period at the end of the presentation.

Dr. Timothy Bollom is a sports medicine fellowship trained surgeon who continually stays ahead of advancing surgical techniques and technologies. He treats patients of all ages and backgrounds, with a focus on comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of knee and shoulder disorders. Dr. Bollom utilizes minimally invasive techniques and a sports medicine philosophy of returning patients to normal activity as quickly as possible.

“I was drawn to the medical field because I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives,” says Dr. Timothy Bollom. “When I get to see a patient I’ve treated doing what they love again, it’s the best feeling in the world.”

Eric Walberg has worked in Central Oregon with Rebound Physical Therapy since 2009, and has managed their Sunriver Clinic since 2012. He earned his Master’s in Physical Therapy at the University of North Dakota in 2002. In addition, Eric has certifications in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, Certified Clinical Instructor through American Physical Therapy Association, and a Titleist ® Performance Institute Certified Golf Fitness Instructor – Level 1. He enjoys treating sports-related injuries, and is active in golf, cycling, kayaking, skiing, and tennis himself.

“Through physical therapy, I really enjoy helping our Sunriver area residents get back to enjoying their life and doing the activities they want to do, whether work, recreational, or home,” says Eric Walberg, PT.
