Entrepreneurs Hit the Trail – a New Book for Entrepreneurs from a Bend Author Andrea Sigetich

Central Oregon abounds with entrepreneurs.  Entrepreneurs are independent, unique and play by their own rules.  An Entrepreneur’s Trail Guide sends entrepreneurs, brand new or experienced, on a journey to successfully establish their entrepreneurial lives so they can do more of what they want to do and be more of who they want to be.

Often, entrepreneurs embark on their new business ventures without thinking through what they need to create a successful venture AND maintain a balanced life.  An Entrepreneur’s Trail Guide is a workbook for entrepreneurs.  The Trail Guide invites entrepreneurs to explore who they are right now by doing a deep dive into their values, strengths, and purpose.

Next, entrepreneurs will create a vision for their lives, integrating their entrepreneurial vision with their vision for work/life balance.  In the third section of the book, entrepreneurs “Map Your Trail” to the vision.  In “Boots On!” entrepreneurs begin the actions necessary to launch their business on the right foot.

Finally, in “Relish the View,” they look back on what they have accomplished, celebrate the journey so far, and prepare to take their business to the next stage.

An Entrepreneur’s Trail Guide does not replace basic “how to” books for entrepreneurs.  It is the precursor to the myriad of “how-to” resources available at COCC, online, and in bookstores.  Entrepreneurs who have used the Trail Guide report that this new approach is a necessary approach.  They wish someone had asked them all these imperative questions before they ever put out their shingle.

Lois Vallerga, president of the Vallerga Company, writes, “I can’t imagine a more valuable tool for any individual who is embarking on their journey as a new or next venture entrepreneur.”
