Excellence in Giving, LLC, (EIG) a philanthropic advisory firm, is opening a branch office in Redmond, Oregon, offering a comprehensive line of services to individuals and companies interested in maximizing the impact of their charitable giving locally, nationally and internationally.

Excellence in Giving, headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is a philanthropic consulting firm. Founded in 2001 by Al Mueller, EIG services are aimed to increase clients’ confidence, impact and joy in giving. Excellence in Giving clients have given over $150 million to high-impact projects and organizations.

According to Lori Slaughter, regional philanthropy advisor, EIG’s services create a disciplined yet flexible process for intelligent giving. Clients focus on areas most important to them, rather than simply responding to incoming requests. Confidence in the projects they fund comes from appropriate and thorough due diligence. Clients have the option of anonymity and benefit from employing an experienced, knowledgeable team to guide them through their giving decisions.

“Excellence in Giving provided multi-faceted, timely and excellent support over a crucial four year period in Bridgeway Foundation’s development,” said John Montgomery, founder of Bridgeway Funds, Houston, Texas. “They introduced us to key granting relationships in our core giving area, performed original grantee level and ‘industry level’ due diligence, and even facilitated our first board retreat. Excellence in Giving staff provided support and leadership when our foundation leader went on extended medical leave. They upgraded our computer and database system for our granting program and served as our search firm for new staff leadership.”

Excellence in Giving Services include a discovery process, giving game plan, grant management, giving dashboards and forecasts, philanthropic coaching, organizational evaluation, customized service trips, gift matching and leveraging, corporate generosity and next generation philanthropic training.
