Going Solar: A Financial & Environmental Decision

0

Minimizing their environmental foot print has been a long standing value at International Commodity Carriers Inc. (ICCI), a Medford, Oregon freight management company that says it prides itself on going the extra mile to help customers fulfill their organizational goals.

In fact ICCI is one of the first companies in the Rogue Valley to go completely paperless. However, when discussing whether or not to incorporate solar into their business the decision became an environmental and financial decision. ICCI worked with Sunlight Solar Energy of Bend to install their 60kW roof mounted system this spring.

The installation is expected to generate 77.4 kW of energy annually that is conservatively estimated to off-set 40 percent of their annual energy consumption needs. When asked about the decision making process used to select a solar contractor, Henry Wilson stated, “Sunlight Solar Energy’s aggressive pricing and exclusion of industry jargon made the decision to go solar a no brainer.”

Sunlight Solar Energy Inc. is headquartered in Bend and has completed several installations in Rogue Valley including Habitat for Humanity homes earlier this year. They offer free solar assessments for both commercial and residential customers.
