Healthy Beginnings in Bend, Oregon Presents Early Childhood Resource Fair

0

Corresponding with The Week of the Young Child, Healthy Beginnings will be hosting its 2nd Annual Early Childhood Resource Fair at St. Charles Conference Center in Bend April 11 from 9am-1pm. Title sponsor, Quality Insurance Group, will be there amongst 30 vendors, preschools, organizations, recreation services, who will display and provide information, resources, products and services to educate and inform parents and families about relevant services and programs. This event is free to families and parents do not need to register to attend.

During the Fair, Healthy Beginnings will be administering our customized screening to visiting families called 4 b4 5. Created last year to provide needed service to children in pre-schools and daycare facilities who cannot attend a community screening, a 4 b4 5 screening provides children 0-5 years of age with high quality assessments on 4 health essentials: Vision, Hearing, Child Development and Behavior. These assessments have been identified as key to helping children enter kindergarten ready to succeed.

Healthy Beginnings is excited to bring together many of our partners in our community that benefit families with 0-5 year olds all in one location. This Early Childhood Resource Fair is a one-stop-shop for parents seeking resources for raising healthy active young children. There are a limited number of vendor slots remaining.

If you are interested in having your business, nonprofit or services highlighted at this event, call Anna at the HB office, 541-383-6357.

All parents of the young child (ages 0-5 years old) are encouraged to attend. Entertainment, great resources, community information and a screening – all in one location!
