New Education Facility for the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation

BBT Architects (BBT) recently started work on the design of the new Education Facility for the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR) in Mission, Oregon.

BBT is providing planning, design and construction administration services for the facility which will house all education programs including Early Learning and Head Start programs, the Nixyaawii Community School, Adult Education and the CTUIR Language Program.

The project includes improvements to the July Grounds area where CTUIR holds community gatherings, events and ceremonies.

“Our team is both honored and excited to building upon our previous planning work with the CTUIR,” says Renee Alexander, principal at BBT, “We are looking forward to help bring the community a state-of-the-art facility that acknowledges the Tribe’s culture and values.”
