Festival Genius Makes Ticket-Buying Easy

BendFilm announces tickets and passes are now on sale. The best way to buy tickets is to go to www.bendfilm.org and click on “2011 Festival” and then on “Tickets and Passes.”

Veteran festival goers will be pleased with this year’s purchasing process improvements. The new ticketing system is the Festival Genius, which will be familiar to those who attend top film festivals around the country. Each film is listed with a large photo outtake along with details such as cast and crew, screenwriter, director, film length and category. In addition to purchasing tickets, you can rate the film, view how others rate it and even add the film directly to your calendar.

Individual ticket prices are $11 if purchased online, and $12 if purchased at The Hub (The Liberty Theater) or at the door. Full festival passes, including parties and films, are $175. Full film passes are $110. Both are available for purchase online and at The Hub.

Those who want the inside scoop on the festival’s 85 films should attend How to Bend Film, 5:30 pm Wednesday, September 21 at Mirror Pond Plaza. Advance copies of the Festival Guide will be handed out to attendees of the event, which will be hosted by Cowgirl Cash, Hotbox Betty, Bellatazza, Bend Brewing and the Downtown Bend Business Association. The festival guide will be in general distribution as of September 26. For previews of movies, follow BendFilm on Facebook.
