C3 Provides a Big Screen while Natural Vines Provides their New Licorice and Screens their Short, Six Clues

BendFilm is hosting a First Friday Block Party on Friday, October 7, 5-9pm in the Wells Fargo parking lot downtown on Wall Street.

The event is free and open to the public. The event will feature a big screen where organizers will be showing some short films playing in this year’s festival, including Natural Vines’ short, “Six Clues.” Filmmakers will be there to interact with, BendFilm merchandise will be available, and participants can enjoy full-size bags of Natural Vine licorice. $1 donation per bag is recommended. Proceeds from the sale of cocktails, wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks will go directly to BendFilm to support operating costs.

BendFilm is a non-profit group inspired by the opportunity to open doors for artists and to cast Bend, Oregon as the cultural and economic beneficiary. The BendFilm Festival runs every October in downtown Bend, Oregon at the historic Tower Theatre, McMenamins, Regal Cinemas and The Oxford Hotel. Plan now to attend October 6-9, 2011 for a long weekend of films, lectures and parties as filmmakers compete for cash awards in Bend’s charismatic setting of mountains, rivers and screaming blue skies.
