For the seventh consecutive year, Continuous LITE Rock…LITE 95.1 will adopt an all-holiday music format on Friday, November 25. LITE 95.1 will celebrate LITE CHRISTMAS through Christmas Day.
“We are pleased to continue our tradition of celebrating the holidays with Christmas music on LITE 95.1,” said David Miller, program director and morning personality of LITE 95.1. “We are also grateful to be partnering with several organizations to help make this a memorable holiday for everyone in our community.”
LITE 95.1 and Hooker Creek will present a “Holiday Getaway-A-Day” to a listener each weekday of LITE CHRISTMAS. Winners will receive an overnight stay at the Columbia Cliff Villas in Hood River, Oregon, Hotel Vintage Plaza in Portland, Seventh Mountain Resort in Bend or The Westin in Portland.
Several less fortunate families in Central Oregon will be visited by Davey Claus and the LITE 95.1 elves, who will deliver a holiday meal and gifts for their family. “This is, without question, the most rewarding thing we get to do at LITE 95.1 all year,” said David Miller, whose alter ego is Davey Claus. “It humbles us to see the smiles from families that may not otherwise have enjoyed a Christmas experience without our generous partners in the community.” Davey Claus is presented by Smolich Motors, with special thanks to Bend Garbage & Recycling, the City of Bend Employee’s Association, Country Catering and Ray’s Food Place.
