The 2nd Annual WRCCO Brew Review to benefit the Women’s Resource Center of Central Oregon (WRCCO) is warming up the holiday season with a fun evening of local craft brew tastings on December 1 from 5-8:30pm at the Century Center, 70 SW Century Drive.

The first WRCCO (pronounced ‘rocko’) Brew Review last year with Deschutes Brewery was a great success, providing an opportunity to learn about good beer and about pairing food with beer, in a festive atmosphere. This year WRCCO is expanding the event to include six local brewers and two caterers, as well a live music, a photo booth and raffle items. Tickets are $25 and include tokens to redeem for beer and food. Additional tokens are available for purchase for $2 each. This event is for those 21 years old and over, and age identification will be required at the door. Tickets are available at www.wrcco.org, by emailing info@wrcco.org or by calling 541-385-0750.

Brewers at the WRCCO Brew Review include Silver Moon, Deschutes Brewery, Boneyard, Good Life and 10 Barrel. Food is being provided by Bleu Bite Catering and Rockin’Daves. Musical guests are Downhill Ryder and And Sometimes Y. Sabrina Sloan of KLRR 101.7 and 99.7 The Mountain will be the emcee for the evening.

All proceeds from the WRCCO Brew Review will support the abililty of the Women’s Resource Center of Central Oregon to provide services to the community. WRCCO creates opportunities for all women to increase their personal and professional growth through training, counseling and access to community resources for the betterment of themselves, their families and our community.

Partners in Transition is a program for homeless families to help them discover their personal worth and support them in making positive choices that moves them towards changing their situation. This program is offered at no charge to clients of Central Oregon agencies that serve the homeless or those at risk for homelessness and so far has been presented at Bethlehem Inn, COIC, Lake Place, MountainStar Family Relief Nursery, NeighborImpact and LaPine DHS. Life Transitions trainings and other workshops are valuable to all women, and men, especially those facing major changes in their lives.
