Celebrate winter with a performance of violin music featuring a sampling of classical, folk, international, Broadway and holiday favorites.

Accomplished violinist, George Shiolas, founder and musical director of the Lydon Ensemble will perform two separate benefit concerts for Bend’s Community Center on Saturday, December 17, 2011.

Both showings take place at Bend’s Community Center:  1036 NE Fifth St, Bend.

The family matinee performance is from 2-4pm.  Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors and $5 for children under 10.

The evening performance runs from 7-9pm.  Admission is $20 per person, including complimentary hors d’oeuvres.  A no-host bar will be available.  This showing is for ages 21 and over.

Guests at either of these performances will be among the first to see and purchase the brand new Sage in the Kitchen cookbook, a beautiful, full-color cookbook featuring recipes from Central Oregon’s best restaurants and chefs.  All proceeds benefit Bend’s Community Center’s “Feed the Hungry” program, currently providing approximately 2,000 every week for the hungry and the homeless.
