New Owners at Pro Golf of Bend

Local PGA Professional Andy Heinly and his wife Nancy with partner Nelson Von Stroh have purchased the retail and teaching golf establishment, located next to Shopko on the north end of Bend. Pro Golf was purchased from John and Jennifer Cosgrave who started the business in 2006 with Nelson as general manager. The store was almost immediately recognized as the franchise store of the year. Once a franchise, the Heinlys and Von Stroh now independently own Pro Golf of Bend.

John Cosgrave, a retired airline pilot, said he is excited to sell the business so he can now play more golf. “I was grateful to sell the business to a team I admire and have been blessed to work with, so they can further expand the offerings to a great golf community.”

The new owners plan to expand the inventory in 2012 with specific emphasis on ladies and junior golf. Their goal is “to become ‘golf central’ in Central Oregon.” In addition to being Central Oregon’s only specialty golf shop, “We intend to reach out more to the community with golf tournaments, travel, tee time recommendations and reservations,” the partners said. “Pro Golf of Bend remains Central Oregon’s most complete full service golf store and repair shop.”

The new owners look forward to serving all of Central Oregon’s golf needs. The previous owners will hope to see you on the links!
