Interpath Laboratory Gets New Building – BBT Completes Design Work

0

BBT Architects of Bend have completed the design for Interpath Laboratory Inc. and construction has begun. Headquartered in Pendleton the structure will include a new laboratory dedicated to medical laboratory testing, as well as a large interior space and an exterior courtyard for staff members.

The new building will consolidate Interpath’s Pendleton staff into one facility, and give them expansion space for future personnel growth and technology changes. The second floor will be designated as office space for all departments.

The use of brick and concrete in the building design portrays a progressive feel while maintaining historic respect for Pendleton’s architectural past.  Both materials are used in a more contemporary manner, along with lengthy spans of windows, exposed steel accents and vertical elements comprised of composite metal panels.

The 33,600 square foot building will be the regional headquarters for Interpath, as well as provide clinical spaces, with the site sitting on a prominent outcropping along the state highway.  The new facility is being built by WC Construction and is expected to be complete in November 2012.
