ShopKo Grant Helps Furnish New Space

Saving Grace announces the opening of the Bend Crisis Center. This is a move for Saving Grace to a new, larger facility for outreach and crisis services. This new facility will allow more space for Saving Grace advocates working with clients in areas of counseling and support groups held for women and children.

Saving Grace applied for a grant from the ShopKo Foundation to help with furnishing the space. In an effort to make clients feel comfortable, it’s important to have a warm, nurturing space. The ShopKo Foundation awarded Saving Grace $990 to go toward the Bend Crisis Center. The money was awarded through Shopko Foundation’s Community Charitable Grant program, which was established to support charitable non-profit organizations through limited funding of local programs and events in Shopko communities.

Saving Grace is very appreciative of the support from the ShopKo Foundation. This grant allows staff to make the space special and comforting for Saving Grace clients. Community support, such as this, is what helps Saving Grace continue to make a difference in Central Oregon. Last year alone, Saving Grace helped over 5,000 individuals with over 11,000 services. The facility will welcome clients the week of April 16th.
