The 2014 Gala at The Riverhouse Beneficiary Solicitation

0

The annual fundraiser administered by The Riverhouse Hotel & Convention Center and the Central Oregon Visitors Association is still accepting applications for the 2014 Gala at The Riverhouse. All local non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply to be the beneficiary of this annual fundraiser event.

Celebrating its twenty-first year in January, the Gala at The Riverhouse has helped raise over $1.6 million for local charities. Each year, the Gala at The Riverhouse committee selects a new beneficiary to receive the proceeds from the event, which consists of a five course dinner, silent auction, and honored keynote speaker presentation. The Gala is a unique fundraiser in that the event venue, gourmet dinner, beverages and event services are all donated by The Riverhouse and supported by other sponsors; thereby ensuring that 100% of the ticket sales go directly to the selected charity.

All organizations that wish to apply to be the 2014 beneficiary should be established, not-for-profit entities serving Central Oregon. Past beneficiaries include organizations such as Grandma’s House, Sparrow Clubs, KIDS Center, Family Resource Center, Ronald McDonald House, The Every Kid Fund, Deschutes Children’s Foundation, Tower Theater, Cascade Youth and Family Center, Habitat for Humanity, Volunteers in Medicine, and Heart of Oregon Corp.

This year’s event will be held on Monday, January 21st, 2013 at The Riverhouse Convention Center. The selected beneficiary for this year is Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Oregon.

Applicants wishing to be selected as the 2014 Gala at The Riverhouse beneficiary must turn in their application and all accompanying documentation by October 31, 2012. Interested applicants can download the application and details of the responsibilities online at: www.riverhouse.com/gala. The 2014 Gala at The Riverhouse beneficiary is expected to be chosen in December 2012.
