The 8th annual Mt. Bachelor Ski for Schools fundraiser to benefit the Education Foundations for Bend-La Pine and Redmond Schools will run with eight days over the course of two weeks this year. On sale tomorrow.

One day passes for $25 each will be for sale starting November 9 at area retailers. They may be redeemed Monday – Thursday, November 26-29 & December 3-6.

Mt. Bachelor generously donates 100  percent of Ski for Schools revenue back to the foundations. Since 2005, the event has garnered $135,000 benefiting countless students!

Heather Vihstadt, executive director of the Education Foundation for Bend-La Pine Schools stated, “The funds raised for our district primarily benefit the Activity Fee Scholarship Program, allowing youth in need to partake in after-school sports. Studies show that student engagement in such programs enhances academic performance, provides opportunity for valuable life lessons, and benefits society as a whole with reduced juvenile crime. We are immensely grateful to Mt. Bachelor.”

The Redmond Education shares, “Proceeds provide grants for educators and post-secondary scholarships to students.”

Andy Goggins, director of marketing and communications at Mt. Bachelor, conveyed “We’re excited to continue supporting the Bend-La Pine and Redmond Education Foundations through the Ski for Schools program again this winter. This is another great way that Mt. Bachelor can contribute to our local communities while offering a great value for area residents to ski and ride for just $25.”
