The Bend-based company, a leader in reservation sales systems for the North American lodging industry, announced they have acquired LMG Data Mining, Tempe, Arizona, a company that pioneered data mining in the hospitality market.

The companies indicated they will combine their data gathering and reporting strengths to develop a more powerful, web-based Business Intelligence system that builds guest profiles and produces actionable marketing data to drive ever increasing reservations and revenue. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

“The NAVIS Reservation Sales System is pulling in massive amounts of data for our hospitality clients – about their agents, their guests, prospects, marketing and their business,” stated Kyle Buehner, CEO of NAVIS. “LMG brings 14 years of experience in developing detailed guest profiles and has the data mining expertise to structure that data into marketing campaigns that get results. Together, our two companies will provide our resort and hotel clients with greater visibility and easier access to their guest data for more targeted marketing.”

According to NAVIS, the popular LMG Data Mining and Returnity products will continue to be offered and supported. LMG Data Mining provides turnkey solutions for analyzing hotel guest data and putting the knowledge gained to work for more efficient and effective marketing. Returnity is an automated email marketing system that allows resorts and hotels to easily send personalized, pre-programmed messages to guests such as reservation confirmations, pre-arrival and departure emails, and cancellation acknowledgements.

“The synergies between NAVIS and LMG are truly remarkable,” said LMG President Tom Littleton. “We both have service oriented, client-centric cultures. Together, we serve a long list of prestigious hotels, which will truly benefit from our combined strengths. And we’re both committed to providing our clients with ever improving ways to access actionable guest data to drive revenue.”
