Reptile Zone to Hold 5th Anniversary Event

The Reptile Zone, on Greenwood Avenue, is holding a 5-Year Anniversary event and Grand Opening of their new location, February 9 from 10 am to 6 pm. The event will include activities and giveaways, educational presentations, a Reptiles of Oregon exhibit, as well as a showcase of venomous reptiles from around the world.

Owner Jeff Jensen, a former science teacher and accomplished herpetologist, provides expert advice for pet owners and people interested in learning about reptiles and amphibians. Jensen is also an advocate for ethical and humane pet trade practices. “We insist on carrying only captive bred animals. Some pet stores sell animals that are wild-caught, too young or illegal, and this hurts animals, damages ecosystems and defrauds well-intended consumers.”

In addition to pets, the Reptile Zone sells habitats, food and supplies, and offers a pet sitting service, birthday party appearances, and educational presentations. The store also provides voluntary care for lost, abandoned or abused reptiles.

For more information about the February event, to schedule a birthday party presentation or just to see some amazing animals, stop by the Reptile Zone at 542 NE Greenwood Avenue, or call 541- 728-0620.
