Windermere Real Estate, the largest regional real estate company in the Western U.S., announced the addition of Hunter Properties to Windermere/Central Oregon Real Estate; the Bend-based real estate company has joined Windermere’s network of more than 300 offices.

The company is owned by Lawnae Hunter, whose 35 years in the real estate industry includes developing the largest real estate company on California’s Central Coast. After moving to Central Oregon in 2007, she founded Hunter Properties, as well as Plus Property Management. Along with the new affiliation with Windermere, Hunter is announcing the addition of a partner in the real estate company.

“One of the most exciting details of this venture is that my longtime friend and assistant, Tona Restine, has agreed to join me as a full partner in the business. Tona’s passion for people and her keen grasp of this business make her the ideal partner to manage this endeavor,” said Hunter.

Hunter and Restine bring a team of more than 20 brokers to Windermere/Central Oregon Real Estate, and they plan to grow their team in the coming months.

“Lawnae and I are thrilled to be affiliating with Windermere,” said Restine. “The culture, as well as the commitment to the long-term success of our agents is similar in both companies. We look forward to tremendous growth in this marketplace and to blending our strong history with the strength of the Windermere brand. I welcome the chance to talk to local agents about a career with our company—we are in the right place at the right time.”

The brokers will continue to work out of their downtown office at 105 NW Greeley Avenue in Bend until June.

As the founder of the Central Oregon Economic Forecast Project and the Deschutes Economic Alliance, Hunter adds that she has “demonstrated her commitment to the local business community and those who live here. This focus on community is a natural fit with Windermere’s proud heritage of community involvement.”

Throughout the entire Windermere network, for every home sale or purchase, Windermere agents make a donation to the Windermere Foundation, which supports programs for low-income and homeless families in the communities Windermere serves.

Community members can contact the agents of Windermere/Central Oregon Real Estate in their downtown Bend office or by phone at 541-389-7910.
