Rethink Waste Project Educates Community on Recycling and Composting

Ever wonder what’s up with the recycling symbol on your Styrofoam take out container?  Curious how to jump start your compost bin?  The Rethink Waste Community Presentation is a visually focused power point presentation that covers these common questions and more.

Join Environmental Center staff as we explore the ins and outs of everyday ways to Rethink Waste.   From what can and can’t be recycled locally (and why) to local options around composting and creative ideas for reuse, this covers a wide range of information to get you on the right track to reduce waste and save resources.

The community is invited to join The Rethink Waste Project at one of its two upcoming presentations, both free and open to the public:

Rethink Waste is a program of The Environmental Center in partnership with Deschutes County Department of Solid Waste, Bend Garbage & Recycling, Deschutes Recycling, High County Disposal and Cascade Disposal.
