New Parking Lot Reconfiguration at Redmond Municipal Airport

Simplified parking layout aimed to better serve travelers’ needs, beginning September 1.

Airport patrons will now be charged based on utilization in terms of length of stay rather than the lot designation, formerly long term and short term. This reconfiguration will alleviate overcrowding in the current long term lot while opening up additional parking options for the user.

Pricing will move from a daily maximum of $8 in long term and $12 in short term to a $10 daily maximum. A weekly discount will be provided at a rate of $60. Patrons who stay six days will now receive the seventh day free. Hourly parking rates will remain the same at $2.

“Our long term lot has been nearing capacity, making it difficult to service additional long term parking customers,” states Eric Fancett, Deputy Director of Business Operations for Redmond Municipal Airport. Parking lot entrants will no longer need to worry about which gate they use to enter the facility, as the lot designations have been removed and length of stay is now the determining price factor.

“This reconfiguration will increase ease of use while simplifying parking rates,” Mr. Fancett said. Three hour maximum parking will be offered in the former short term lot to ensure easy access to the terminal for quick passenger pick up and drop off.
