Video Contest Celebrates Success Not Binge/Underage Drinking

What inspires or motivates you? What keeps you in control of your success? Deschutes County’s Shared Future Coalition is asking you to tell your story-on video-of why there’s no space for binge or underage drinking in your life. This is not about the past; this is all about NOW and expressing your current or future success in a video submission. The video contest theme is “Success Not Wasted – a video contest celebrating smart choices.” Submission deadline is February 1, 2014.

For the contest, create a short video showing what makes you tick, and why you don’t engage in underage or binge drinking. There’s no reason too small, no dreams too big — just define your success, not wasted.

CRITERIA TO ENTER:

Must be 18-25 years old to enter, must be a Deschutes County resident, videos must not exceed 60 seconds in length, and must adhere to all content requirements.

HOW TO ENTER:

1. Create an original video, 60 seconds or less in high-resolution format.

2. Upload your video to our Facebook contest page: www.facebook.com/sharedfuturecoalition

3. The deadline to submit videos is 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time, US) on February 1, 2014.

PRIZES:

Just for entering your video and being one of the first 100 to do so, you’ll receive one free Dutch Brothers gift card. The top five (5) videos will be shown during the Rail Jam at Winterfest and will receive a Hydro Flask.

The grand prize winner will receive an Apple iPad. The Shared Future Coalition was formed to foster the legal and safe use of alcohol in Deschutes County. The group’s goal is to raise awareness about reducing underage and binge drinking among young adults.

The Shared Future Coalition, funded by a seed grant to Deschutes County from the Oregon Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant, meets the first Wednesday of every month and new members are welcome.
