Bend Community Center Hosts Volunteer Appreciation Party & Open House, Unveils New Look on Saturday, February 15


Bend’s Community Center (BCC), a local nonprofit organization that provides resources for basic needs, job training, volunteer opportunities and a place that brings people together, is hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Party and Open House to celebrate the volunteers that work for BCC year-round and also to unveil a new look featuring renovations and upgrades. 

The Volunteer Appreciation Party will be held at Bend’s Community Center, located at 1036 NE 5th Street in Bend, on Saturday, February 15 from 3-6 p.m. The BCC Board will serve the volunteers Bad Boyz BBQ at the free event, which is also open to the public. 

“We feel so fortunate to have such consistent and dedicated volunteers who are committed to the BCC mission,” said Linda Heatley, the executive director for Bend’s Community Center. “And we could not be more excited about the beautiful renovations that were completed last fall.”  

Recent renovations included: New ceiling lighting, refinished floor, new professional sound system and stage lighting, and a projector in the ceiling with a new screen.
