Weekend retreat offers creativity workshops and activities for women and girls.  With the Cascade Mountains as its backdrop, the 4th annual MUSE Camp returns to Caldera Arts Center, August 22–24.

The three-day women’s retreat, hosted by World Muse, offers women and girls the opportunity to work directly with local and global leaders, teachers and artists to both inspire and ignite positive change. “Each of us holds enormous potential for creating positive change in our personal lives, our local communities, and out in the world,” says Muse Camp Founder Amanda Stuermer, “Muse Camp is an opportunity to tap into it that potential.”

Built on 120 acres of old-growth forest, Caldera Arts Center facilities include classroom-size art studios, tipi camping and the Hearth Arts Center. MUSE Camp will feature workshops on photography, creative writing, yoga and leadership as well as opportunities to swim, hike and standup paddleboard in and around Blue Lake.

Instruction will be provided by visiting teachers including:

• Julie Keefe, Photographer and Creative Laureate, City of Portland

• Dr. Emily Carr, Poet and MFA Director at Oregon State University–Cascades

• Kerri Kelly, Activist and Yogi at Off The Mat Into The World

• Dr. Melody Moore, Founder of Embody Love Movement

The three-day event offers onsite accommodation at Caldera Arts Center and is catered by Bend restaurants Joolz and Sunny Yoga Kitchen. Registration is open to all women and girls aged 13 and up with limited space available.
