Columbia River Community Health in Boardman, Oregon opened its doors to the public on June 25. The non-profit organization provides preventive out-patient care to all types of patients. This 13,500 facility has been planned to meet a goal of serving over 2,000 migrant and seasonal farm workers in Morrow County and almost 4,000 individuals under the 200 percent federal poverty level.

This new facility provides adequate space to serve current and future needs. The project has more than doubled the size of the existing facility, which was housed in temporary portable units. This new facility will greatly increase the clinic’s ability to serve the growing population.

Exceptional design features include a dedicated isolation room, lead lined X-ray room, in-house pharmacy, telemedicine AV capabilities, use of day lighting and occupancy light sensors, upgraded exterior envelope and HVAC system along with two medical procedure rooms, ten exam rooms, and 20 medical provider and administration offices. Interior materials were carefully chosen to limit the spread of infection. Pinnacle Architecture, Inc. would like to thank McCormack Construction Company, MKE & Associates, Eclipse Engineering, Sage Resources, Sisul Engineering, Northern, Inc. and Architectural Cost Consultants for a successful project.
