Pedego Electic Bikes Named Number 1 Brand Sold in U.S. by Navigant Research

Pedego Bend Electric Bike shop in downtown Bend recently announced its selection as the electric bike supplier and the local service and installation partner for the Oregon State University-Cascades Bike share program.
Kevin Rea, founder of Pedego Bend, was delighted to hear that he will be adding more stations to help service not only the new OSU-Campus but the community as a whole. He reports that his company, since becoming part of the Pedego brand early this year, has grown by 35 percent.
“We are not only excited to see the official announcement that our neighboring business G5 and the Old Mill District have agreed to sponsor additional platforms with Zagster but even more so delighted to announce that the Pedego Brand of Electric Bikes was recently named the number one brand sold in the USA by Navigant Research.”
Pedego Electric Bikes, the fastest growing electric bicycle company in the U. S., manufactures ten high-quality, innovative models including cruisers, tandems, commuters, fat-tire bikes, mountain bikes, cargo bikes and a convenient electric folding bike. Sold at 85 Pedego-branded stores and hundreds of independent electric bike dealers worldwide, Pedego’s stylish “pedal or not” electric bikes boast powerful, whisper-quiet motors that let riders sail up hills and breeze through headwinds with a smile.
“Pedego is the number one brand of electric bikes in America because they cater to ordinary people like us rather than athletes and hardcore cyclists,” says Rea. “We believe Pedegos are the very best electric bikes on earth because they’re the most fun and easy to ride. That’s why Pedego owners don’t like their bikes — they love ‘em.”
Available in hundreds of color combinations, Pedego electric bikes deliver a green alternative for transportation, exercise and recreation — transforming lives with fun and delight. Founded in 2008, Orange County, California-based Pedego inspires riders to say, “Hello, Fun!”
“Minimizing traffic impact of the new OSU campus with multiple transportation options has been a part of the new campus transportation plan from day one. Bike share is a big part of our plan,“ says Casey Berg, transportation director for OSU-Cascades. After thoroughly researching local opportunities for bike share, OSU purchased two Pedego City Commuters that Pedego Bend customized and rebranded for e-bike sharing.
Once the official RFP process for bike sharing platforms bidding process was complete, Zagster (bike share for everyone) was selected as the preferred platform in providing the OSU-Campus with a viable proven system of Bike sharing. Later Pedego Bend was selected by Zagster as the local service center and installation contractor for the Zagster program.
“We are happy to be chosen for the installation of the station platforms, bike assembly, maintenance and redistribution as needed of the Zagster Bikes. We are impressed with the overall quality of the bikes provided and look forward to servicing the growing fleet,” says Ryan Bogcuz, store manager for Pedego Bends Downtown Shop.
Originally known as Let It Ride (originally established in 2010), Bend’s first and only Pedego dealer, the downtown store officially became a Pedego Branded Store servicing all of Central Oregon in the spring of 2016. Pedego Bend offers sales and rentals of Pedego electric bikes. The touring center is now known as Let it Ride Tours and Rentals located with the Bend Tour Company at the Old Box Factory off industrial way. Let it Ride offers guided tours and group rides our Pedego Electric bikes.
Pedego Bend is located at 25 NW Minnesota Avenue #6 Bend in the Minnesota Market Building in Downtown Bend, behind Thump coffee.
