BBT Architects Completing Design Services

BBT Architects is near the completion in the design of renovations and upgrades for multiple facilities for the Sisters School District. The work comprises a wide range of projects that touch each school in the District.
Numerous building and site improvements include a new Career and Technical Education (CTE) space at Sisters High School. Inspired by the master planning process, this space is the first of its kind in the District and aims to draw students from the community interested in specific career paths. Bolstered by grant funds from recently passed Measure 98, additional state dollars will augment creation of a learning space dedicated to career and college readiness.
Upgrades and new additions to Reed Stadium and related sporting facilities are also near completion. These include new team rooms, grandstands, and a concession area to serve the growing focus and passion for athletics at the high school and throughout the District.
The projects will be phased with final completion scheduled for the summer of 2018. The work is being funded through a $10.7 million, 15-year bond passed by the Sisters community on May 17, 2016.
“These important upgrades to the Sisters School District will make the District more competitive, attract families, and help the community of Sisters continue to thrive in the future,” said Renée Alexander, principal of BBT.
“From the beginning of this project, we were aligned with what the Sisters School District was hoping to accomplish. They had a well-defined plan and a clear vision of their goals that most importantly was supported by their community. We feel that the work we have accomplished collaboratively with the District is an important piece of what makes Sisters a unique and vital part of Central Oregon.”
