State of Oregon Data Strategy Open for Public Comment & Feedback

0

Oregon has launched a website for public comment and feedback associated with the draft State Data Strategy. Kathryn Helms, chief data officer for the State of Oregon, has been working to develop Oregon’s first State Data Strategy to establish a framework and action plan for how Oregon manages data as a strategic asset. This plan is open to the public for review and comment!

The Oregon strategy is modeled on the Federal Data Strategy, which means Helms and her team started with a set of core principles and identified practices for how we as a state wish to manage our data — these two components are where the state is currently seeking feedback from the community. Stay tuned as there will be a separate public comment period for community members when the state releases an Action Plan in early fall.
