Vacasa is now the leading vacation rental manager in Sunriver following its 26th acquisition.

Vacasa, the fast-growing, technology-enabled vacation rental company, announces its acquisition of Discover Sunriver in central Oregon’s popular Sunriver Resort. The deal is Vacasa’s second largest of its 26 acquisitions to date, and follows the company’s recent $35M Series A funding round announced on April 12. Vacasa will pick up 111 units from the deal, and will now manage a total of 212 homes, leading the Sunriver vacation rental market.

Founded over a dining table in Portland Oregon in 2009, Vacasa’s mission has always been to disrupt the vacation rental market by leveraging the power of technology. Using proprietary technology developed entirely in-house, Vacasa guarantees the best returns on the market to homeowners and provides a consistent experience to guests. From its humble beginnings, Vacasa has grown 100% year-over-year and is on the fast track to taking the lead in the vacation rental industry that’s estimated to reach $169.7 billion by 2019.

Following its $35 million funding announcement last week, Vacasa plans to use the additional capital to fund increased expansion, both organically and through acquisition deals like this one.

For Vacasa, the acquisition is an opportunity to leverage expertise from a local company that has more than twenty years of industry experience.

“Discover Sunriver has an impressive reputation, staff, and portfolio of homes,” says Vacasa CEO and cofounder Eric Breon. “I have personally long admired Larry and Lori Browning as industry leaders, and am honored that they have selected Vacasa to continue their legacy. We share a belief in the importance of hiring local employees and contributing to the community, as well as the value of innovation. Vacasa will ensure that homeowners and guests experience the same level of service they have come to expect from Discover Sunriver.”

According to previous owner Larry Browning, who has managed Discover Sunriver alongside his wife Lori: “We have watched Vacasa grow over the years and chose them specifically as the company we want to take our business to the next level. Vacasa is accomplishing what we always dreamed of doing ourselves in the vacation rental industry and we know that we are leaving both our guests and homeowners in good hands.”

Vacasa will assume management of Discover Sunriver’s 111 units this week .For more information about Vacasa or to book a stay, please visit www.vacasa.com.
