Westside Animal Hospital celebrated their third year in business. Located on SW Century Drive in the Century Village Shopping Center, the shopping plaza provides a convenient mix of retail, restaurant, pet services and exercise facilities.
Dr. Scott Shaw had been practicing veterinary medicine for over thirty years. He provided services in the Bend community for many years and was looking to permanently locate his business in an area that would allow him to continue to provide convenient services to existing clients. Century Village Shopping Center provided the ideal opportunity.
“I was excited to open a business on the west side to provide the neighborhood with convenient access to complete veterinary care,” said Dr. Shaw.
Westside Pet Hospital’s facility is a full service veterinary clinic incorporating radiographic imaging, multiple exam rooms, dentistry, and in-house laboratory to provide more convenience to the surrounding neighborhood. His practice is also a certified “Cat Friendly” practice by the American Association and Feline Practitioners.
Dr. Shaw brings a practice style unique to Bend’s westside. He is a certified veterinary acupuncturist. “Before I opened my practice, people had to travel to other parts of town for holistic services,” Dr. Shaw stated. “Integrative medicine combines western and holistic medicine to provide pets with the best outcome for acute and chronic disease.”
Westside Pet Hospital is open Monday through Friday with evening appointments by arrangement. His daily schedule includes examinations in the morning and afternoon with surgeries and dentistries in between. “We get very busy at times. Thankfully my wonderful staff helps things flow smoothly.”
