Wade and Teresa Palmer, two of WIN Home Inspection’s top strategic partners (S-P’s), were honored recently with three awards at WIN’s annual conference in Nashville, Tennessee. Their team, which includes their son Michael, was presented with a Premier President’s Circle Award for inspections performed (678) and were recognized for their outstanding customer service, boasting an incredible customer satisfaction of nearly 100 percent.

The Palmers run their business along with their two sons.“We are extremely blessed to be operating a family business,” comments Teresa Palmer. “I enjoy getting to see my guys every day.” Palmer went on to explain what it means to operate a successful family business. “We have our challenges, like any business, but we all work together and have the same goals of great product and customer service. I think for our customers, we offer consistency and confidence because they acknowledge that we are in it together for the long haul.”

The Palmers journey began when they first moved to the area in 2002 and had the previous owner of WIN inspect their new home. “Tom had mentioned that he was ready to sell the business,” Palmer explains. “Wade loved the whole process and having a commercial building background, he felt like he had found his next adventure. “After further discussion and more training, the Palmers were able to purchase the business in 2003. “Michael joined WIN in 2013 after five years in the Marines. Aaron is joining WIN after ten years in the Marines and four deployments,” Palmer states.

Just like any growing business, WIN has faced its share of struggles with the building crash of 2008. “We managed to survive as a business, but we had some large personal loses, like so many small business owners in Bend,” says Palmer. “We love what we do and knew we had to make it; we weren’t going anywhere.”

Out of 190 locations in 31 states, the Palmer’s location is thriving. In addition to the company wide awards, the Palmer’s were honored as 2015 Central Oregon Association of Realtors Affiliate of the year. They have added a new inspector to their family team, Aaron Wagner. They have been a family owned and operated business since 2003 and have completed over 5,000 inspections in the area.

The Palmers are working toward adding more inspectors to better meet customer demand, as well as pursuing commercial division expansion. “With Wade’s long time experience in the commercial construction and home inspections, we are trying to ramp up our commercial inspections in this really hot market. We are bringing on another inspector to meet all our customers due diligence timelines and still be able to branch out more with the commercial transactions. With a larger team, we can inspect the larger commercial building with minimal impact to the tenants and their businesses,” Palmer concludes.

The Palmer team offers commercial and residential inspections and specialized services for realtors, as well as inspections and consultations for homebuyers and home sellers throughout Central Oregon.
