Deschutes Soil & Water Conservation District Announce Pollinator Pathway Success Story

0

Deschutes Soil and Water Conservation District (DSWCD) partnered with Bend Pollinator Pathways (BPP) to create habitats in Bend for native pollinators. Native plants are the most vital for ensuring the health of our pollinators because the two co-evolved to fit the needs of one another.

9 planting sites were completed in 2021, and BPP and volunteers planted native pollinator plants to further establish the connected path in Bend. The plants used for these projects offer the most nutritional potential to pollinators as well as being very drought-tolerant.
