You may not hear the expected oom-pah-pahs, but beer, ciders and food will be plentiful for the 17th annual Redmond Kiwanis Oktoberfest at Wild Ride Brewing in Downtown Redmond on Saturday, September 13, from 2-9pm.

It’s a family-friendly event with games and activities for children and adults. Admission is free. Beverage tokens are available from Kiwanis members and food from your favorite Wild Ride food trucks.

The first band, Derek Michael Marc, plays from 2-4pm. Games for grown-ups occur from 4-6pm, including stein hoists and grain tosses.

The second band, Sleepless Truckers, plays from 6-8:30pm.

Games for kids occur throughout the day and into the evening, including balloon sculptures, corn hole and an obstacle course. Scout Troop 777 members and leaders will assist Kiwanis with youth activities.

Silent auctions will be supplemented by the Wheel of gLUCK — which means luck in German. For $5 you can spin the wheel to determine your prize, with the minimum value being $5. Everyone is guaranteed to be a winner.

Proceeds benefit Kiwanis youth activities. Redmond Kiwanis has been serving children of the Redmond area since 1937.
