COAR Releases Donation Application for NonProfits

The Central Oregon Association of REALTORS (COAR) will be accepting applications for donations from local nonprofits in two rounds due April 1 and September 13, 2019. The criteria for those applying consists of:

  • Applicant must be a 501(c)3
  • Priority will be given to smaller organizations that provide basic needs to the community, such as food, shelter, clothing and medical services.
  • Political organizations/campaigns, religious activities, sports teams or individual activities are not eligible (religious organizations are eligible for community service programs).
  • Funds must be used for programs and not events or marketing.
  • Programs must take place in Crook, Deschutes, Jefferson or Harney counties.
  • A letter of recommendation from a COAR

Nonprofits can apply to be a monthly beneficiary from COAR meetings (application due April 1) or for an annual giving donation from COAR (application due September 13). The application for each is the same and nonprofits are encouraged to apply for both utilizing one application.

In 2018, COAR and its members contributed over $100,000 through the Charitable Giving program to: St. Vincent de Paul of Bend, Family Access Network, La Pine Community Kitchen, Council on Aging of Central Oregon, Shepard’s House, The Giving Plate, Kemple Memorial Children’s Dental Clinic, DAWNS House, Pregnancy Resource Center, High Desert Museum, High Desert Food and Farm Alliance, Healing Reins, In Our Backyard, Kits for Kids, Central Oregon Collective, Friends of the Children Central Oregon, Lifelines, Bethlehem Inn, Central Oregon Locavore, Central Oregon Public Safety Chaplaincy, Family Resource Center, Heart of Oregon Corp, Boy Scouts of America, Bend – La Pine Education Foundation, Bloom Project, Children’s Museum of Central Oregon, Oregon Adaptive Sports, Jefferson County Saturday Market, Kids Club of Jefferson County, Bend Spay and Neuter Project, Crook County Kids, Sparrow Clubs USA, Teck Trek Younity, Bend/Mt.View/Summit High Drama Programs, Great Stride, Family Kitchen, OSU-Cascades, St. Charles Foundation and Kor Community Land Trust.
