Downtown Redmond will soon host the newest location for Oregon’s award-winning contemporary lighting showroom, Accent Lighting. In celebration, the showroom will host several special events throughout February, as well as opportunities for builders and interior designers to earn free continuing education units (CEUs).
“We’re a small company, but that makes us more flexible and adaptable,” explains Bob Warmbold, founder of Accent Lighting. “The new location in Redmond will give people in Central Oregon access to a wide range of contemporary lighting solutions and ideas, along with expert advice from a professional, passionate staff. We intend to stay true to the values that have made the Lake Oswego location so successful for two decades.”
Since opening the original Accent Lighting showroom in 1996, Warmbold has made customer service, education and networking the pillars of his business. He credits the superior knowledge and training of his staff with getting the company through the darkest days of the recession. According to Warmbold, training never stops at Accent Lighting. There are always new products entering the market, and the needs and expectations of consumers are continuously shifting. Staff members work as a team to ensure everyone is up to speed with the latest innovations.
Accent Lighting is the only showroom in the state to employ American Lighting Association (ALA) Certified Lighting Consultants, providing customers with the highest level of expertise in all aspects of residential lighting design. Consultants work closely with each customer to understand the vision for each project. Accent Lighting features all of the elite brands in residential lighting, including, but not limited to Hubbardton Forge, Hinkley, Troy, Hudson Valley and Corbett. The company offers room-by-room and landscape lighting solutions that perfectly blend form and function.
Industry accolades have poured in for Accent Lighting’s Lake Oswego location. The showroom earned Residential Lighting magazine’s prestigious Showroom of the Year in North America award for 2015. A year earlier, the company won Showroom of the Year for Exceptional Community Service. Accent Lighting is a nominee for the 2016 Arts Award.
The entire staff at Accent Lighting is heavily involved with the ALA. Warmbold serves as Chair of the Certification Committee. Employees regularly attend Dallas Market Center, a wholesale exhibition space where the latest and bestselling products are featured prominently. Community service at Accent Lighting, meanwhile, is exemplified by the staff’s donation of time and money to the Equine Outreach Horse Rescue of Bend, Oregon.
