In a city that’s known for ground-breaking outdoor products, unique craft beverages and revolutionary technologies, it’s inevitable that two of its greatest supporters of innovation would collaborate for a one-of-kind event. On Wednesday, November 20 at 5pm, Oregon Innovative Marketing (OIM) will bring its next InnoMix gathering to OSU-Cascades’ new Innovation Co-Lab at the Graduate Research Center, 650 SW Columbia Street in Bend.

Every other month, InnoMix provides an opportunity for those who are involved in marketing and those who are in need of marketing to mix and mingle in a fresh, vibrant venue. This month’s gathering offers a peek behind the curtain at the Co-Lab, OSU-Cascades’ business incubator that supports entrepreneurs and startups from ideation to implementation.

“Bend has become one of the hottest places in the country for startup businesses and nonprofits,” said Adam Krynicki, the Innovation Co-Lab’s executive director. “Since our opening earlier this year, it’s been rewarding to assist many new companies and nonprofits by offering them access to our coworking space, student teams and coaching. We’re very excited to partner with OIM, a group that offers connections to marketing experts who can help these same businesses thrive down the road.”

A highlight of the event will be a 20-minute presentation by Krynicki at 6pm on how individuals from all walks of life can develop their innovative ideas and bring them to fruition. Krynicki has accumulated more than ten years of experience in startup acceleration, small business development and technology transfer. He is an expert at building initiatives that support innovators, entrepreneurs, funders and their communities.

A $10 admission covers the presentation, as well as appetizers and a free beverage. Registration is open now until November 18 at oregoninnovativemarketing.com. Registration will also be available at the door for an additional $5.
