The Impact Conference is Bend Chamber’s annual half-day event focusing on the national and local economic outlook and diving deep into the hospitality, real estate, and, new for 2022, retail industries.
Fully in person this year, the Impact Conference brings innovative knowledge and resources to the Central Oregon region to encourage our community’s economic growth and endurance. Attendees will be more informed about how challenges across the world and locally can be effectively addressed to strategically position businesses for success in the future.
“The Chamber is bringing the Bend business community back together for our annual Impact Conference, and we couldn’t be happier to say that this year’s event will be our most exciting one yet,” shared Cyrus Mooney, Bend Chamber Events Lead.
“From a national-level Keynote speaker in Andrew Busch, to the expansion of having a retail industry-specific breakout session, the Impact Conference is reaching a broader audience than ever before and providing resources and recognition to more of the local businesses that make Bend’s economy and culture flourish,” he continued.
Powered by this year’s Title and Keynote sponsor, Providence Health Plan, the Economic Session will kick-off the conference with breakfast and an overview by State Economist for Business Oregon, Damon Runberg. The Keynote address will feature Andrew Busch—a futurist, economist and consultant who was the first ever Chief Market Intelligence Officer for the US government.
New for 2022 is the addition of the retail sector as a breakout session. This breakout session will feature discussions on how local retail establishments can best utilize their space and storefronts, as well as the details of retail leases and opening a new retail space.
The real estate, hospitality and retail industries are recognized by the Bend Chamber as cornerstones of the greater regional economy. By pairing local and national level experts, this conference is a new opportunity for local professionals and business owners to gain unique insights that they have not previously had exposure to.
