About the ServSafe Program:
Over the past several years, Deschutes County Environmental Health department has offered in-person ServSafe Certified Food Manager classes to the food service community in Central Oregon every quarter. This nationally known, well respected and voluntary program offers in-depth training on the prevention of foodborne illness and has provided a tremendous public health benefit to food service providers and to the public. Kitchens with Certified Food Managers are proven to have fewer health code violations and fewer outbreaks than kitchens that operate without the benefit of this additional food safety training.
