KPOV 88.9 FM High Desert Community Radio is celebrating 20 years on the air. Since 2005, KPOV has been Central Oregon’s home for independent, community-powered radio — created by the people, for the people.
As part of our Fall Fund Drive, we’re inviting you to an Open House on Sunday, October 19, from 12-3pm at 501 NW Bond Street in Bend. Meet the DJs and volunteers, tour the studios, and get a behind-the-scenes look at community radio. Enjoy food from Laughing Planet, plus drinks from Big Foot Beverages and Strictly Organic Coffee. Prizes and giveaways, too.
The 2025 Fall Fund Drive runs October 17–25 with a $50,000 goal to fund daily operations, syndicated programming, music licensing, staff salaries, and essential equipment.
“KPOV receives no government funding,” said Linda Orcelletto, executive director. “The Open House is a wonderful opportunity to see firsthand how community members power our station with their time, talents, and generosity. Together, we keep independent radio thriving.”
Give at kpov.org/donate, by phone at 541-322-0863 or by mail: KPOV, 501 NW Bond Street, Bend, OR 97703. Plus, anyone who donates before October 17 will be entered into a drawing for a pair of one-day lift tickets to Mt. Bachelor for the 2025/26 season.
