The City is hosting a pre-construction information booth for Phase 1 of the Neff Road Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvements Project. The community is invited to stop by to meet the project team and learn more about the proposed improvements and construction schedule.

Phase 1 construction of the Neff Road Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvements is expected to begin in early June 2026 through summer 2027, pending City Council approval. No full road closures are expected during the project construction. Two-way traffic will be maintained. Roadway shoulder work and temporary lane closures with flagging and minor delays are expected. Access to businesses will be maintained throughout construction.

Phase 1 proposed improvements include a shared use path and sidewalk in-fill where possible on Neff Road from east of the Larkspur Trail to Eagle Road.

Other proposed project phases include the shared use path improvements on Neff Road from 12th Street to Larkspur Trail, the Hillside Trail, and Neighborhood Greenway improvements on Norton Avenue between Sixth Street and 12th Street. These phases will be constructed by ODOT at a future date to be determined.

General Project Info

Neff Road connects to schools, parks, trails, medical facilities and more. Places that kids, parents, commuters and others in the City traveling east to west need to reach. Neff Road is identified on the GO Bond project list as one of the Citywide Key Routes to improve safe travel on a connected system for pedestrians and bicyclists while utilizing existing bike and pedestrian infrastructure, and the Bend Parks’ existing trail network.
