As families prepare for the upcoming school year, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Oregon (BGCCO) hosts three community enrollment events throughout August to help families learn about the Club and register for afterschool programming.

Two enrollment events will be held in Bend, and one will take place in La Pine.

Community Enrollment Events

  • Bend: Tuesday, August 11 | 1-3pm | Orchard Park, 2001 NE Sixth , Bend
  • Bend: Wednesday, Augus 12 | 1-3pm | Al Moody Park, 2225 NE Daggett , Bend
  • La Pine: Thursday, August 13 | 1-3pm | La Pine Parks & Recreation, 16405 First , La Pine

Families are invited to stop by to meet Club staff, ask questions, complete school-year enrollment, and enjoy games and activities. Staff will be available to help families enroll on-site, answer questions about membership, programming, transportation, and financial assistance, and introduce families to the many opportunities available through the Club.

BGCCO provides safe, supportive afterschool programming for school-aged youth. Club members have access to homework help, healthy meals and snacks, sports and recreation, arts, STEM, leadership programs, and caring adult mentors who help youth learn, grow, and build confidence outside the school day.

This school year also marks the opening of BGCCO’s newest Club in La Pine, expanding access to high-quality afterschool programming for youth and families in south Deschutes County.

“We are thrilled to be expanding our program to La Pine,” Michael Baker, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Oregon, said. “I am very much looking forward to seeing our Board Chair hand out the first membership card to member number one in La Pine.”

Thanks to the generosity of donors and community partners, financial assistance is available to ensure every child has the opportunity to attend.

Families can learn more and enroll online at bgcco.org or receive enrollment assistance at any of the community events.
