Nosler Investments, LLC and Nosler, Inc. announced the purchase of 60 acres near the Redmond Municipal Airport for the planned expansion of their current Bend operations. Bob Nosler, CEO of Nosler, Inc., said the recent purchase of Washington-based Silver State Amory required that the company build a 30,000 square foot building to become the future home of Nosler’s ammunition and cartridge brass operations which is expected to add approximately 20 jobs in Central Oregon.
When asked about the future, Nosler said, “The company is growing at a pace that will exceed the available space at the Bend site within the next few years…We are Central Oregonians, and have been working for nearly a year with our local economic development agencies to keep this company operating in Central Oregon.”
Founded in 1948 in Ashland, Oregon, Nosler moved its operations to Bend in 1958 where it has been a growing part of the community ever since. The company is known by sportsmen and women as well as competitors around the world for their high quality bullets, cartridge brass, hunting rifles and ammunition.
“It’s been an exciting opportunity to work with and earn the investment from such a long standing and reputable company, like Nosler, Inc.,” said Jon Stark, EDCO’s local manager for Redmond Economic Development, Inc. (REDI). “The past 10 months have been spent selecting the right site, leveraging state, county and community incentives to grow their operations to Redmond. Nosler is a great addition to the growing list of companies currently operating within this industry cluster here in Redmond.”
