Downtown Bend’s electric-bicycle sales and tour business, Let it Ride!, has purchased John Flannery’s GETIT Shuttle pedicab business.

“This is a perfect fit for us,” said Let it Ride! Founder Kevin Rea. “This diversifies our service and helps us build on our relationship with several local alternative transportation and touring businesses.”

A pair of pedal-operated cabs, including a new 2015 cab from Main Street Pedicabs of Colorado, will be electrified to assist the company’s trained drivers, Rea said.

Let it Ride! was honored in 2014 by the Bend Chamber of Commerce as the Entrepreneur of the Year as Central Oregon’s exclusive dealer of Pedego, the leading U.S. brand of electric bikes.

Let it Ride! was launched in late 2010 by Rea, a local builder and real estate developer. It began offering tours in 2011 on Bond Street and moved into the Minnesota Market Building in 2012. Rea dubbed the staging area and alley access beside Tin Pan Alley as “Electric Avenue.”

Flannery began providing pedicab services to downtown Bend in 2001 and as such was the first commercial pedicab service to launch in Oregon, In 2004 he expanded to offer a bio-diesel powered minibus as GETIT Shuttle and most recently has partnered with The Bend Tour Company.
