Confessions of a Swivel Junkie

0

I remember my first time. I was a little tentative but wistfully expectant. The experience, in the end, did not disappoint. I must admit, I’ve been an addict ever since.

For a guy who makes a living for his family on the fruits of running a thriving marketing agency, the Swivel conference (formerly Bend WebCAM) plants seeds for future growth. On October 12-13, a sampling of some of the world’s most diverse and productive minds in the creative/marketing industry will give a plethora of power-packed presentations! (And this year, we have Matthias “Super Frenchie” Giraud as a keynote to boot! He’s an international celebrity big mountain skier, B.A.S.E. jumper and brand ambassador.)

I’ve had the privilege of serving as a live blogger a few years running now, for one of the best high-octane marketing conferences in the country. As one of the few people who burns up the keyboard memorializing the rich, information-dense points of each presentation, I can tell you that the content is absolutely stellar, and I have always left with ideas that have made my business better. Every year, Swivel gives me creative and strategic inspiration and tools I can apply to bring an even higher level of service to our clients.

One of the major themes of this year’s Swivel conference is Marketing to Millennials… You know, those inked and bearded postmodern enigmas that don’t know what a newspaper is and have only vague memories of sitting on a phone book as a de facto booster seat.

Stephanie Kelly from Cisco Systems said this about Swivel: “Being from a high-tech company and in a global role, I was hesitant to attend a marketing conference hosted in Bend, OR. I thought it would cater to smaller businesses and beginning level marketers. Was I wrong! The conference sessions were very forward thinking and presented by amazing industry thought leaders. I learned so much! Any marketer, at any level, looking to keep up on the science of marketing would benefit from attending this conference.”

The cost is only $499 for both fact- and fun-filled days, which is an incredible deal when you consider you don’t have to pay thousands for airfare and hotel to see the same speakers elsewhere, like Vegas or Chicago. To register and learn more about the workshop, speakers and the entire Swivel experience, head to www.swivelnow.com. Use the code SWIVEL to save $150 until ticket sales close Friday, October 9 at 5pm.
