Thanksgiving is just around the corner and it is time to register for FootZone’s I Like Pie Fun Run/Walk, benefiting NeighborImpact’s Emergency Food Assistance Program. I Like Pie is an untimed fun run/walk held each year on Thanksgiving Day that will inspire friends and family to get outdoors together for exercise and fun and to help NeighborImpact keep their Food Bank shelves filled for the holidays.
The race concludes with a slice of pie and a feeling of accomplishment!
Cost: Suggested donation of $5 and 5 lbs. of food, all funds go directly to NeighborImpact.
Pie: Bring along a pie to help feed the masses after the race. You can choose to enter it in the pie baking contest or not. Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 pies in both the “traditional” and “open” pie category.
Food Drive: Bring your 5 lbs of food for NeighborImpact on the morning of the event. NeighborImpact staff will be available to collect food donations and bring them to our Food Bank Warehouse in Redmond.
In 2014, FootZone’s I Like Pie Thanksgiving run brought in 6,000 pounds of food and raised more than $12,000 for NeighborImpact’s Emergency Food Assistance program, a program that serves over 20,000 individuals per month.
Since 1985, NeighborImpact has been a leader in developing solutions and bringing resources to Crook, Jefferson and Deschutes County.
