Just in time for the longer and warmer days of spring, Sunriver Brewing Company will roll out its award winning Rippin NW Ale and Fuzztail Hefeweizen in twelve ounce cans this month.
Both brands will be available year round in six packs throughout Central Oregon and in select stores around Oregon. “With Oregon being mainly wilderness, it makes perfect sense to put our beer in cans” says Ryan Duley, director of sales and marketing.
“Snowboarding, skiing, campfire, fishing, hiking, biking, you name it, all things we do with beer in a can,” says Duley.
With the new launch comes a new look from Sunriver Brewing. Bold colors and clean lines reflect all the packaging for the company’s bottles and cans. With the recent opening of its second pub location in Bend, Sunriver refined its branding with updated logos, graphics and signage.
Rippin recently earned a silver medal at the 2016 Best of Craft Beer and a bronze at the 2016 Oregon Beer Awards. Fuzztail also earned a gold medal at the 2016 Best of Craft Beer awards. “Fuzztail Hefeweizen and Rippin NW ale are excellent choices for canning,” says Brett Thomas, head brewer for Sunriver Brewing Company. “Both beers are designed for session drinking and are a perfect match for the outdoor lifestyle of the Central Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.”
Sunriver Brewing Company’s pub in the Village at Sunriver opened to rave reviews in the summer of 2012. Recognizing that the original pub would not accommodate demand, a 12,500 square foot building was purchased in the Business Park at Sunriver where in January 2014, the company began brewing with a capacity of 2,100 barrels. Since then, the brewery has expanded several times to brew over 6,000 barrels this spring. Talented head brewer, Brett Thomas, prides himself on making the highest quality beer. Since 2010, Brett has garnered 10 national awards including three silver and two bronze at the NABA and consecutive gold medals at the GABF. In February of 2016, Sunriver opened its Galveston Pub in Bend.
