Pinnacle Architecture Presents Affordable Housing Case

0

Prineville’s What’s Brewing recently featured the potential transformation of the vacant Ochoco Elementary School into affordable housing. Housing Works and Pinnacle Architecture of Bend spoke about creating 28 units of housing on the six-acre property through converting the current classrooms into housing. Built in 1945, the Ochoco Elementary school closed June 2016.
Housing Works is currently in the due diligence stage of purchasing the property.
Pinnacle Architecture, who specializes in affordable housing, will present a case study from Richland, Oregon to show how reusing an existing structure can enhance a community. The project eliminated $5,000 a year in maintenance for the City and created a community hub for the town.
